The Sudbury and Districts Home Builders’ Association has changed its name to the Northern Ontario Home Builders’ Association, reflecting its expanded regional focus and growing role in the residential construction industry.

In a media release, the organization said the new name “reflects years of growth, expanded regional partnerships, and the increasing role the association plays in supporting the residential construction industry across Northern Ontario.”

CEO Morgan Rouleau said the rebranding aligns with the group’s current membership and service area. “This new name aligns with the reality of who we serve today: builders, renovators, suppliers, and industry partners across Northern Ontario,” Rouleau said. “NOHBA represents our future and strengthens our unified voice across the region.”

The association noted that the rebranding reflects:

  • A broader service area and member base
  • Stronger regional housing advocacy
  • Enhanced collaboration with multiple Northern Ontario municipalities
  • A modernized brand aligned with long-term growth and leadership

“This name change is more than a rebrand. It’s a reflection of our commitment to Northern Ontario’s communities and the homebuilding industry,” Rouleau added.

The Northern Ontario Home Builders’ Association represents builders, renovators, tradespeople, suppliers, and service professionals in the region. It advocates for high industry standards, supports professional development, and works with governments at all levels to address the unique needs of Northern Ontario’s housing sector.
